Wheels

Size and Fitment: Ensure the wheels match your vehicle’s specifications, including diameter, width, offset, and bolt pattern. You can put larger wheels on, but experts recommend that you stay within 3% of the original equipment tire size’s diameter.

Condition: If you can, look at the wheels in person and check for cracks, bends, scuffs, or corrosion. Minor scratches or curb rash can be fixed. However, structural damage like cracks or bends can compromise safety.

Tire Compatibility: If the wheels come with tires, check their condition, size, and compatibility with your vehicle. Look for even tread wear and sufficient tread depth. Tires should not have bulges, cuts, or other signs of damage.

Brand and Model: Research the brand and model of the wheels. Some brands are known for better quality and durability and it’s worth paying a little more for higher quality.

Brakes

Rotor and Pad Condition: Inspect the brake rotors for deep grooves, warping, or excessive wear. Brake pads should have sufficient material left. Uneven wear can indicate underlying issues in the braking system.

Brake Lines and Hoses: Check for any signs of wear, cracks, or leaks in brake lines and hoses. Good condition of these components is essential for safe braking.
